So tired this evening. The house is quiet. Little ones and
big ones have returned to their own homes. Homes too far away. Trying not the
think about that. Distance is no friend to families. A friend commented recently about what happened to the days when children grew up and lived
only minutes away from parents?
It never occurred to us otherwise. Or to them. If your loved
ones live closeby, you are indeed blessed.
So, My Beloved and I spent the day undecking the halls and
packing away Christmas for another year in another place. One of the changes
coming for us.
Missing the laughter and the chatter, and making a place for everyone around the table, and playing games, and
reading to little ones, and cute little bodies in their jammies on our lap, and
snuggling under cozy covers before the sun rises above the hills, and ……..but
trying not to think about all that. Sigh.
Ahh…a text just in from their mommy. Counting my blessings.
